Indexing API
What is the Indexing API?
The Indexing API is Google's programmatic interface that lets a site owner notify Google when a page is added, updated or removed, so Google can schedule a fresh crawl. According to Google's documentation, it can only be used for pages with JobPosting structured data (job postings) or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject (livestreams).
Who is the Indexing API for?
Job boards and livestreaming sites: pages that are short-lived and need to appear in and disappear from search results quickly. For a blog, a store or a company website, the right tools are a sitemap and the URL Inspection tool in Search Console. Google warns that all submissions undergo spam detection and that abuse may result in access being revoked. The default quota is 200 requests per day per Google Cloud project.
